My so called job

Let me start off by stating that I do have a job, in the sense that I get paid every two weeks. Aside from that, I pretty much come to work every day and sit around doing nothing. I work for a government contractor, and the contract I was working on was cancelled. This happened back in April, and since then a number of us have been waiting for a new contract to work on. So, a year after AT&T Wireless announces that they are relocating people to Seattle, WA, I am once again in limbo.

Financially, my family has to essentially put big purchases on hold. This is a bad thing because we were scheduled to buy a new car this summer. That will have to wait until I know for sure that I have a job. To add insult to injury, my company has decided that I can be sent out-of-town on a moments notice. This further puts pressure on my family, since not only can we not make big purchases, but we can also not make plans, because we are unsure if I will be in-town or not.

Hopefully I can find a stable job soon, one that will give me years of comfort and stability. Isn't that a novel idea?

Stability in a job? In your field? HA!!!!!

But, seriously, we may not be able to make big purchases or make plans, but at least now I can go to the doctor without my shadow around since she'll be in daycare soon.

Anything you need, just let me know and I'll find a way to help. Oh, wait. That's hard to do with my shadow. She barely gives me time to get something to drink!

*hugs*
