A is sick with the flu. He keeps getting the chills and fevers. I took him to the doctor yesterday, and he got Tamiflu. It seems like it just made things worse for him. He DID look better today, and spent more time out of bed. But he's back in bed now, with a fever and the chills. *sigh*
I had to take R to the pediatrician on Wed., so she stayed home from dance class. She'd been coughing and coughing and coughing, and she threw up because of that. I took her in to be seen, and it turns out it's severe allergies. So now we have to add Nazonex and a humidifier, on top of the air purifier and Zyrtec. Her cough sounds wet now, and I'm still not sure if she's coughing more, less, or the same. And her nose is messy now. She keeps coughing in my face, too. Literally! So now I've got a sore throat and cough, as well as a headache that just won't go away.
I'M GOING NUTS!!!!!
Okay. Sorry about that. Just haven't gotten much rest or "Me" time lately. I'm so tired now.
I finally bought a wood burning tool for cutting and heat sealing ribbon. I haven't gotten a chance to use it yet, though. I'll try it out and practice when I have more free time. All I can do right now is just LOOK at my ribbon, make some mental designs. Now I'm looking into getting a hot fix tool, to jazz up some of my bows and clothes. I haven't even had time to make a tutu!!!!! Or organize/set up my studio!!!!!
On the upside, I've been spending a lot of time with R. She's enjoying it, and I must say that I am, too. Last night, I taught her how to dip strawberries in chocolate fruit dip. There was such a mess afterwards, but we both had so much fun! She's always had just plain strawberries, but I thought she could use a treat this week. Boy, was I right. I had a treat, too.
I could REALLY use some coffee right now, but I don't think it's such a good idea with my throat the way it is. *sigh* I need to stay awake! I've been drinking water and tea for a couple of days now, but I had a couple of sodas today while R was at gymnastics. Those lasted me till shortly after we got home. I've been fighting sleep since, and it's becoming a losing battle.
I've been thinking about leaving eBay for a while, now. These new price "reductions" have me REALLY trying to make up my mind now. Plus, some idiot stole copyrighted eBooks from a friend of mine and some others and resold them. He was busted, but it was such a disappointment to the original writers and their friends. They didn't get any protection from eBay at all, no compensation. And eBay took FOREVER to do anything about it! On 1 hand, I don't want to leave because I'm part of a couple of great design groups. On the other, I can't stand the fee increase (yes, that's what those price "reductions" are) or how little they care for their own customers/clients.
I've set up shop at WinkElf and Etsy. You can see at the right where to go and who to look for. I don't have anything listed at WinkElf yet, but I've got a couple of Christmas bows at Etsy. Like I said, I haven't had time to make anything. I've also got a website of my own, but it's still under construction. I haven't installed the shopping cart. But I'm thinking of switching to a different host, so I don't want to work on it too much.
I'm trying to find the time to write a couple of eBooks, and work on the projects for those. I'm not going to say what they are about. I have all the ideas in my head, and I've experimented with a couple of things for one of them. I have no idea where to go to write and publish them. I'm lost on that part. I need to contact someone at a favorite website of mine to find out about this. But if my readers know anything about this, please feel free to let me know! I thank you in advance!
