Bad Day, Good Day?

I'm currently having "issues" with my oldest Bug.  She's 11 and at that stage.  Everything is an argument with her.  I can barely have a conversation with her without her turning it around to use against me in some way.  It's freaking annoying.  I'm working hard on keeping my temper in check, but lately I've been sorely tempted to ship her somewhere WITHOUT ELECTRONICS!

The Ladybug is sick...AGAIN.  *sigh*  I don't know what to do about that.  She has another cold.  She JUST got over one, too!  So now her nose is leaking everywhere again, and we have to chase her with either a tissue or a wipe.  She can blow her nose now, so that helps.  I just wish she wasn't always getting sick.  The Big Guy took her to the pediatric urgent care close by.  It's scary for us that she gets sick so much, especially when she had walking pneumonia about a month ago.  She's been fever free all day, so she's going to MDO tomorrow.

While The Bugs are at school and The Big Guy's at work, I'm HOPEFULLY going to take the opportunity to vacuum, sweep, mop, and switch and wash bedding.  I've been sick myself, and I hope I'm on the mend.  I had to sign Cricket out of school 1/2 way through Mass on Friday because she wasn't doing too good.  She missed a concert because of that.  The Big Guy's been sniffling, sneezing, and blowing his nose, so I'm hoping it's just allergies.  Any way you look at it, this house needs to be disinfected.  I'll do what I can tomorrow while they're all gone, and do whatever is noise-free on Tuesday while the Ladybug is home.  Wednesday is Cricket's day off, but the Ladybug still has MDO.  However, Cricket has a dental appointment and I need to to go to the GS Leadership Center for some stuff.  So Wednesday's a no-go for chores.  At least heavy ones.

TBG and Cricket took down the Halloween decorations today (HA!), and he mowed.  Cricket and I cleaned up the front living room as best we could while TBG and the Ladybug were at the urgent care.  Well, it was a lot of ME cleaning and HER messing around.  Ugh.  But she eventually got moving.  Hopefully I can clean some more in the next few days so that we can get the Christmas tree up this weekend.  But first we gotta check the lights...which we were SUPPOSED to do tonight, but Cricket decided to check with TBG to see if she could have a snack instead of doing what I asked her to do so that we could check the lights.  I'm ticked off, ESPECIALLY since she took AN HOUR to eat her freaking snack!

TBG tells me I shouldn't let her get to me, but how can I not?  She turns a simple conversation into an argument, she turns everything I say against me, she knows which buttons to push, and she turns my words around to suit her.  She may be 11 years old, but I swear she's a teenager.  My God, was THIS how I was with my own mother?  If so, I need to do some major apologizing.  I'm working hard on keeping myself together, but it's getting more and more difficult.  I wish I had a book to help me with this, but I don't.  I do, however, have quite a few baby and toddler books.  Well, I did: they're going to Goodwill...most of them.

*sigh*  I'm calling an end to this entry.  It's time to fight her again.  Why?  'Cause she's back on her computer.  Wish me luck...\
