Turkey and other things...

Let me start off by saying this to all you future moms and present moms: NEVER TAKE A BABY WITH YOU TO THE GROCERY STORE (ALONE) AFTER HAVING GIVEN THEM TURKEY FOR LUNCH!!!!! *lol* Why? Well, I did that today with Reyna, and she was sssssssssoooooooo cranky! She was sleepy, but I had to leave her in the cart. I got her out a couple of times to calm her down, but had to put her back in when it was getting too hard to pull the cart around, turn the cart one-handed, get the items off the shelves...Ugh!!!!! At least she liked the turkey mixed with pears. She won't eat any meat/poultry by itself or mixed with a cereal. But she'll eat it mixed with a veggie or fruit.

We're starting to baby proof our house now. It's a slow start, but at least we're getting there. We bought a gate and some extensions for the back door area, but we're short 2 extensions. The back door, you ask? Yes, the back door. That area has vynil flooring, and she likes to lick it. *blech* Since I can't watch her all the time and she rolls all over the place, it's easier to put up a gate there. Oh, and she also likes to sweep with her tummy, therefore getting her shirts/shorts/dresses/and such dirty. We haven't even started putting the gate up, but all the parts are out of their boxes! ( ; I also had to cover 2 power strips because with all the rolling around that she does, she's able to get into stuff. Well, she's been grabbing 2 of the power strips, so they've been covered with power strip covers. I need to get more, though. And we also have a cord winder for phone cords, and a few outlet covers. We haven't put any of those up yet. We will, though. We just haven't had much time to do anything yet, even sleep.

Anyone know how to keep an 8 mth. old from sticking her arms and legs between the slats in her crib rails? *lol* She keeps doing that when we're not there, and gets her legs stuck. She'll cry and cry and cry until we go check on her and see that she's stuck. Someone suggested putting the bumpers back up in her crib, but I know this won't stop her.

Looking for a new diet soda? One that's decaf and NOT a name brand drink? Something DIFFERENT? Well, how 'bout Canfield's Diet Chocolate Fudge soday? It's awesome!!!!! I've seen it in the grocery store every time I'm in the soda isle, and I've been curious about it and wanting to try it. I never got it, though, because I didn't want to be disappointed. But I finally gave in today and bought a 6 pack. Woohoo!!!!! It's great! You can't even tell it's a diet soda! They also sell it in Diet Cherry Chocolate Fudge. I'll try that one next. Also, another good diet drink is Diet Brisk tea with lemon. You also can't even tell that it's a diet drink.

That's it for today, I'm afraid. Hope all you readers are doing well!!!!! *hugs*

Well, after this busy month is over maybe we can spend more time at home and get her on a more consistent schedule.
