It looks like Reyna may finally be pulling out of her month+ long bout of teething/cold/ear infections. If folks wonder why there have been no posts in over a month, that is the reason. We have been getting very little sleep. The bulk of our time is spent soothing and medicating a fussy baby.
A couple weeks ago, Reyna was baptized. It was a little stressful with Reyna being sick, but it was nice to have the family there. The weather was really nice, and we had a good barbecue.
The weather has been decidedly un-Texas like. For the last week, it has been in the 60s on the ride to work. With temps like that, I just want to keep on riding. This past week I finally started watering outside. That is amazing. Usually August consists of one 100+ degree day after another. We have not hit 100 degrees since early/mid May I think.
The bike has 2000+ miles on it. It still runs great, and I have become very comfortable on it. It took some getting used after riding a cruiser for years. The sporty riding style was different, but the biggest thing was the transmisson. The clutch has a small friction zone, which means that there is a very small transition from the clutch being disengaged and then engaged. That combined with the gears being close together took some getting used to.
I went to see "The Manchurian Candidate" last Saturday. It is an excellent movie. In other news, I am finally getting into some Python programming. This is something that I have talked about for along time, but just never got a chance to spend time with it until now. More news to come!!!
