Wow...It's been a while...

Well, I'm here and alive and well!!!!! I've been busy getting in all sorts of doctors appointments, chasing after a VERY active 9mth. old, and trying not to fall asleep whenever I'm able to relax (which is rarely these days).

Our AC broke last night. Well, it didn't exactly break. The outside unit was working, but not the inside unit. So we had no air coming through. Andy called 2x in 2hrs. and they never came or called back. By the time I got out of my shower at about 11pm, I was ticked off. So I got the phone, pressed the handy redial button, and told the answering service something along these words: My husband has called twice already about our AC being out, and we haven't gotten any calls or any visitors about our AC. We have a 9mth. old baby who's getting over heat exhaustion, and we NEED to have that air conditioner working before she gets worse. *lol* Wouldn't you know it? Not even 2 mins. later, someone calls and sounded put out because they were disturbed from their beauty sleep. Well, TOO BAD!!!!!

Actually, Reyna isn't suffering from heat exhaustion. She's just reacting to the heat. She'd been out in the heat on Friday because we took her to the zoon, and on Saturday because Andy's company picnic was at SeaWorld. I just didn't like that our AC was out when she'd been sick for 2 days. She was throwing up. She threw up so bad on Saturday night, that we had to give her another bath. She fell asleep right after, poor thing.

She's much better now, but she's been cranky all day because of the heat. I tried to keep her out of the house as much as possible today, but it was hard. I couldn't come up with any places to take her that were FREE. The AC was going to cost a bit to fix, so I didn't want to spend money just to keep her cool. But I did, anyway. But not in the way you're thinking. I took her to IHOP with me for breakfast, where we proceeded to fight over a pancake. Then I took her home because she was so cranky and sleepy. I left her with Andy, who was waiting for the AC people to come, and left for Target. I've been on a GREAT DIAPER HUNT since yesterday, BTW. Didn't find the diapers, but got the other stuff that I needed. By then, it was almost noon so I came back home for lunch. Fed the baby, changed her diaper, and packed her up and loaded her and all her equipment into our NEW truck and went to Wal-Mart to continue with the GREAT DIAPER HUNT. Found the diapers, and found out that Wal-Mart has a better selection of 9-12mth. clothes than Target does, and for CHEAPER. So the GREAT DIAPER HUNT was *finally* over, and I was relieved. Unfortunately, that meant I had nowhere else to go for air conditioning.

*sigh* Off to the nearest payphone I drove, where I called Andy and asked for an update. It wasn't good for me. I still had 3hrs. to kill, at most. Called my sister, but she wasn't home and wasn't answering her cell. Parked and gave Reyna her bottle because she was fussy. Entertained her. Went back to the payphone about 30mins. later and called Andy. I just wanted to cry. I was so tired and hot and I had a migraine building up from all the heat and driving and from the GREAT DIAPER HUNT, and the baby was so fussy...Andy said to come home, that we would just have to keep her as cool as possible. So home we went, where I just wanted to fall on my garage floor and kiss it and cry and sleep. But I didn't. I took the baby inside for a nap, and I can't remember what I did after that. I know I finally took a nap. It was 87 degrees in the house, and I was covered up and asleep (I was cold, for some reason). *lol* But I woke up with an even worse migrained than what I had when I first fell asleep. It's better now. It's there in the background, but it doesn't hurt anymore. The AC was back up and running just as I had fallen asleep. I woke up about an hour later because Andy wanted to go out to eat. It was still hot in the house, and there was NO WAY I was going to cook dinner in the state I was in. It was 82 degrees in the house when we left, and back to the normal 78 when we got back. *whew*

Now I remember why I NEED air conditioning...I get killer migraines that stop me from doing anything. All I want to do then is sleep in a nice DARK AND QUITE AND COOL place, with NO ONE to bother me.

Anyway, that's a long enough update. I'm sure Andy will post something on the AC. Or maybe on his bike. I don't know. I'll have to look, and so will you. Have a good week! Until next time...
