Why did I have to have the "brilliant" idea of signing R up for t-ball? WHY? As if we weren't busy enough, I had to add t-ball to the mix. AND I'M THE TEAM MOM!!!!! OMG, WHAT HAVE I GOTTEN MYSELF INTO?
Here's a rundown of our schedule:
*Sunday: Mass at 10am; R has Sunday school from 11am-12:15pm; might have a t-ball game somewhere
*Monday: R and I now have to do the grocery shopping by ourselves (which is NOT a good thing, since I tend to buy what's NOT on the list); t-ball practice, 5:30pm-6:30p; dinner when we get home; shower for R, then bed
*Tuesday: school for R (starts at 8:30am, but I'm lucky if I get her there by 9:30am) until 3pm; my intermediate tap class, 7pm-7:45pm; wash dishes
*Wednesday: R's dance class, 11am-12pm; lunch somewhere; t-ball, 5:30pm-6:30pm; dinner when we get home, shower for R, then bed
*Thursday: school for R (starts at 8:30am, but I'm lucky if I get her there by 9:30am) until 3pm; I think A still has 1 more RCIA class this week (last one!);
*Friday: early lunch; gymnastics, 12:30pm-1:40pm; may or may not have t-ball practice, 5:30pm-6:30pm
*Saturday: might have a t-ball game somewhere
That's my week. A works all day, comes home around 3:30pm. While he gets to sit his bum in a chair and stress, I get to run around all day - EVERYDAY - hoping I can make it long enough to take a shower before bed. It wasn't like this before t-ball. I did okay, for the most part. Now, with being the team mom, I'm going nuts! There's so much to do! I had no idea it was going to be this crazy! If I'd known, I would NEVER have signed up for it. I don't know how others do it. Plus, this Monday, A and I will be taking our certification class downtown from 5:30pm-8:30pm. Yikes! I called my niece to ask if she could babysit, but she doesn't know yet. I hope she lets me know soon, because I'll need to line up someone else if she can't make it.
A's an assistant coach for R's team. The head coach is out of town as of today, and he left his t-ball book with A yesterday after practice. He's been reading it ever since. He was going to go to the hardware store after work today to get some stuff that was recommended in this neat little book, but I offered to pick up what he needed since I was out running errands anyway. Practice is going to be VERY different tomorrow. Our head coach is going to come back and see that practices have changed, but I think he'll like it.
I worked on my half of the master bathroom sink/counter this afternoon. I came home after running around, dropped everything in the kitchen, took out some stuff to wash, and put the groceries away. I was just going to leave everything else there. But then I thought, "This shelf is NEVER going to be put to use if I don't put it together now." So I put it together and tried to put it on the bathroom counter. But there was stuff in the way, so I ended up cleaning my half. Why just my half? Trust me, it needed it BADLY. All my rubber bands and scrunchies and barrettes were in a bucket, and I could never find them in there. After I got out these stackable boxes (for lack of a better description) that I FINALLY washed yesterday, I put all my makeup and hair stuff in them (there were 3 large ones, and 1 small one). I cleaned up the counter and sink with the GreenWorks Natural Bathroom cleaner (LOVE THE STUFF!!!!!), sorted out my stuff, put the boxes by the outlet, put the shelf above the faucet, and WOW!!!!! It opened up the area A LOT. It even seems like I got rid of something that was on the floor there by my half, but there was never anything there. I was so proud of myself.
After that, I threw the trash out outside. Then I was about to settle down to rest (it being 1pm by this time, and I'd been on the go without stopping since 7:30am) when I noticed all the new t-ball stuff on the kitchen floor. *sigh* I had to label everything and sort it out. That took another 30 minutes. By then, I just HAD to rest, so I grabbed my soda and my book and sat in my NEW chair. I got it for me and Reyna over spring break, while she was with my in-laws. My other one broke. *sniffle, sniffle*
One of the things I did today was go to Hobby Lobby to get some ribbon for pony o's. I got the blue ribbon matched to R's hat. Not the same blue, but it was the closest I could get. I also got some cool printed ribbon. One says "Batter Up!" The other says, "Take me out to the ballgame." I got some printed sheer ribbon, too. I couldn't pass them up, they were so pretty. I don't need more ribbon, but THEY WERE PRETTY! I wanted more, but I had to limit myself. I'm glad I did. Even though there was some awesome fabric that I wanted, and ribbon to match, and the Simplicity patterns were on sale for $1.99. All I got was the ribbon, and I'm super proud of myself. I can't usually walk out of that store with just what I went in for. *lol*
Now I'm just here, waiting for my hair to dry. I don't know how long ago I got out of my shower, but I think it's time to brush and braid my hair. I want to get in bed soon. I'm hurting badly right now, and moving slowly (except for my fingers). My ears are starting to hurt, too. That's not a good sign. *sigh* I CAN'T GET SICK RIGHT NOW!!!!! I JUST CAN'T!!!!!
