Another year, and my baby girl is older and taller and has bigger feet. *sigh* I'm having to buy her shorts/pants/dress and shoes after about 2 or 3 months now. Ack!
Her Royal Fussbucket just turned 5 this past Tuesday. It was a great day. It started out with a special breakfast at IHOP, her favorite pancake place - just me and her. She took cupcakes, cantaloupe, and juice boxes to school for a special birthday snack. For lunch, my twin sis, my mom, and I took her to Chili's. Then we came back home for some pumpkin pie and games. Yes, pumpkin pie. It's her favorite, and I didn't feel like making her a cake she wouldn't eat. For dinner, A and I took her to Chuck E. Cheese's. She had a blast!
I took her for her 5 yr. check on Wed., and she got 2 shots: the new chicken pox vaccine, and the flu shot. Let me tell you, my girl may be 5 yrs. old, but she's freakin' strong! She kicked the heck out of my stomach, and shoved me with her feet. I crashed into the nurse that was walking behind me and stomped on her foot in the process. It took 2 people to hold her down: me and another nurse. She was screaming and crying the whole time. I still kinda hurt where she kicked and shoved me.
I kept her home yesterday to rest up. Turned out she had a cold when I took her for her check up, but only a small one with no fevers. Plus with her sore leg, it didn't really make sense to take her to school. She could have gone to school, but I wanted her to rest a little before her party tomorrow. I got a little more cleaning done, and she spent the morning playing on the Wii. I took her to the library after lunch, though, so that she could work on her writing and get some books. We did some pretend play there, too. She was a librarian, and she was checking out my books. Then she was selling me books - as a librarian. *lol*
She went to school today. They were having a Friendship Snack at school, all the classes were. I had to pick her up early, though. They had their school pictures done while we were at Disney World, so I scheduled a make up session with the photographer. They're located across from the church, so it was no big deal. After her pictures, we went back to the school to go to the book fair. She got a few new books. Then it was home for lunch and resting. Only she didn't rest. She put me to sleep with all her whining. *lol*
My BIL and his girlfriend are here now. They got in about an hr. ago. Well, they got to my house then. My BIL is playing Wii with the princess right now. She cheats, by the way. ; ) She doesn't like losing, and will choose games to play that she's good at but you're not. *lol* They're playing baseball right now.
Tomorrow's the big party. It's going to be at a bowling alley. It's what she wanted. The theme is Clone Wars. Again, it's what she wanted. This year, I only invited immediate family and 5 girls I was pretty sure would come. In the past, no one has really come from my family or her classmates. I didn't see the point of having another big production if that was going to be the case...again.
That's it for now. I'm tired, and I need to rest my mind for tomorrow's party.
*me*
