Needless to say, I had to brush my teeth 4 times. *sigh*
M was on better behavior this morning. I managed to wake her and get her out of bed shortly after 6:30am. But since I spent a good amount of time being sick and brushing my teeth after 7am, I didn't get her to get dressed and such till 7:20am. At least she got dressed, took her cough medicine, and brushed her hair. And ate breakfast - though I couldn't manage 2nds for her since I'd just finished being sick. The 1 thing she didn't do? Brush her teeth. Oh, well...
A is busy with work today and tomorrow. I'll be lucky if he answers any of my text messages, and if he's on Google Talk. I managed to catch him on both today, so I know he was bored. *lol* At least there weren't any emergencies today, or any need to vent.
Since all the stress is gone from my life, I've been getting sick. Normally, it comes on right away - like, the very next day after the stress is gone. This time around, it's taking it's good ole sweet time. I think my morning sickness helped it along finally. I've been feeling like crap all day. I came home and slept for 2 hrs. this morning. I woke up in time to check my glucose (117) and eat lunch. I had to take some Tylenol for sinus pressure & a headache, but I'm feeling marginally better now.
I made an awesome dinner last night! So awesome that even A said it was a keeper!!!!! That's a shock, considering it was chicken - his LEAST favorite entree. I made Garlic Parmessan Chicken with some bowtie pasta & marinara sauce. As usual, M asked for her pasta without sauce. She prefers cinnamon sugar pasta, so that's what she always gets. A? He surprised me by skipping the sauce altogether and just adding parmessan cheese to his pasta. I swear, I live with some of the pickiest eaters around. I'd say they are the pickiest that I know, but my friend J has me beat: his wife AND both his boys are MUCH WORSE. *lol* I'll try to post the recipe and a pic later, but I know it won't be today. We have Girl Scouts this afternoon, and then the school's Cici's pizza night after.
My blood pressure has been much better the past few days. I don't really know why it was so high the last few weeks, but I know why it was high LAST week: the dental pain. Ever since having the emergency root canal on Friday, though, my blood pressure has been back to normal. I'm happy! Now I don't have to be so worried and scared. I still have to watch my salt & caffeine intake, but I'm good. Too bad K the Alien will be born a caffeine addict...I did MUCH BETTER on that front when I was pregnant with M, but I think it had a lot to do with the fact that my twin sis was always watching me like a hawk. I don't have her around to do that this time, since she's busy with her own baby girl and other stresses. I try not to, but I can't help it. At least I'm watching my salt intake better than my caffeine intake. But I try to limit my caffeine.
Hope y'all are having a great day! If not, cheer up! There's always someone out there who's thinking of you....
