VACATION TIME!!!!!
Guess what? I"m sitting here at my in-laws house, in their dining room, playing Go Fish with A & R. We're waiting for lunch to be ready, and for one of R's friends to get here so we can be on our way to our vacation destination: The Great Wolf Lodge in Grapevine, TX. Yay!!!!! So I'm 30w1d along in my pregnancy today, and we're taking 2 8 yr old girls with us for the week on vacation. What were we thinking?!?!?
We got here to the in-laws yesterday afternoon. We stayed the night, and we also came to drop off Spot the Hamster. We had a great dinner of pot roast, salad, green beans, and homemade rolls, along with homemade vanilla cake with homemade vanilla frosting. Yum!!! Afterwards, R and I were bored. *lol* We watched a few episodes of A.N.T. Farm on Netflix on my iPad, and then I said enough. I couldn't watch it anymore, and the juice on my iPad was running low. So I plugged it in to charge, and we went to lay down to rest and joke and tickle and FaceTime my twin sister.
Geez, it was boring! We finally found something to do, but it was taking a while to get to it. I bought and downloaded "Tangled" for my iPad. Like I said, it took a while to download, so I had her take a bath and get ready for bed. A while after that we got to watch the movie. She and I stayed up till almost midnight watching the movie. I'd forgotten how funny and awesome that movie is. After it was over, we went to bed.
Well, she went to bed. I tried. An overweight pregnant woman sleeping in a full-sized bed with an 8 yr. girl is NOT my idea of comfortable. I managed to sleep for a little while, but not for long. I ended up sleeping on the couch in the living room for the rest of the night. I got up around 6:30am and zombied my way back to bed with R, and slept for about another 15 mins. Then I zombied my way to the other room and slept with A for about another hr. Then I decided just to get up and get ready for the day. I'd had enough! I was hot and uncomfortable.
By the time I was done with my shower, R was out of bed and A was awake and on his iPad. But R was asleep in HIS bed!!!!! *lol* It was funny. At least to us.
Breakfast was a sugar rush for me. Ugh. I'm not used to eating sugar in the morning anymore. I usually have mac 'n cheese or a couple of bacon/egg/cheese biscuits. Sugar? No, not so much. It makes me gag. I took R with me to Walgreens after she got dressed so I could get snacks for the trip (for my nighttime insulin shots), and I ended up getting a bag of chips and a Pepsi Next to offset my sugar shock. It was just what I needed! I felt much better by the time we got back.
Now, I'm still sitting at the dining table, but we've finished playing Go Fish. We played a round with regular playing cards (which R hated 'cause she lost), and a round with some preschool cards where you have to match up 4 cards of the same color. Ack. A & R kept changing the rules, but they were good games. We're still waiting for lunch and R's friend to get here. Then we leave for our final destination a little after lunch. Am I ready and excited? No. I'd rather be at home, surrounded by all my fans and keeping cool. But then I wouldn't get to spend much time with A...
Oh, well. At least I brought my clip-on fan...
