*sigh* Why do I always forget?

Ok.  I'm back...AGAIN...Sorry!  It's been so busy and hectic since we got back from vacation that I've lost track of time.  Now it's August, and there are a couple of MAJOR events about to happen in my life.  AUGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Event 1: The IMPENDING birth of our new little girl, K

Yes, it's that time.  I'm actually not due till Aug. 26.  But because of my pretty much uncontrollable diabetes (trust me, I TRIED HARD and didn't control it till it was "too late"...), I have to have a scheduled C-section.  *sigh*  So when's that day?  MONDAY!!!!!  MONDAY, AUG. 6!!!!!

Believe me when I say I fought hard against my OB when he said I needed a C-section.  I didn't have one with R, she was natural.  I didn't want to have one with K, and I still don't.  But I know he's concerned for the health of myself and K, so I haven't been fighting him on it since it was first mentioned (which I'm sure is a bit mind boggling to him...).

I'm looking forward to finally being able to go without peeing every 5 mins., and not having her pressing down on my bladder, and not having her screw her head into my bladder - which is PAINFUL.  I'm just not ready for her to be here.  I mean, her little sleeping area in my room is ready.  Her bottles are washed, labeled, and put away.  Her clothes and blankets are also washed and put away.  Her diaper bag's been ready to go since I was 32 weeks (I'm 36+6 today).  I'm just not ready for HER...

It's going to take a lot to get used to it being me, Her #1, and Her #2 now.  And A, of course.  *lol*  I'm not sure how I'm gonna handle this new little Her.  R and I have been doing great with her baby cousin, L.  But this is different.  We can't say bye to K at the end of the day and send her off.  She gets to stay here with us.  *sigh*  I think it's too complicated to explain.

Event 2: R's First Day of School

Yup, her First Day of School is upon us.  Aug. 13, to be exact.  Exactly 1 week after K is born.  Let's just keep adding to my insanity!!!!!

I've never missed one of R's First Day of School events.  NEVER.  And she's been in school since she was about 9 mths. old.  And for the FIRST TIME EVER, I may have to miss this one.  I'm gonna try hard not to, though.  We'd both be sad and disappointed.

So she'll be starting 3rd grade this year.  Yay!!!!!  My baby's getting so big...*sniffle, sniffle*  Unfortunately, she's going to have the new teacher - which most of her class hates.  She wasn't a very nice sub last year, and got hired on permanently at the end of the school year last year.  I've heard she changed once that happened, but I'm afraid the damage has already been done in R's eyes.  I haven't told her yet, as I just found out this morning from a friend.  She'll probably cry buckets and start giving me problems, but I'll TRY to get her to see that a few of her besties will be in the same class.  *whew* What a relief it was to hear THAT!!!!!  And right as I was typing that, she and A came home (he went to pick her up from a birthday slumber party).  So the BAD NEWS was broken to her, gently of course.  She cried and told me she wanted the other teacher and that she's scared of the one she got.  But I didn't get the Demon Child reaction I was expecting.  I told her about her besties being in the same class, so that made it a little easier for her to handle.

But I still HATE that she's with the teacher who gave her so much hell last year...

In other news...

Oliver's Labels

Y'all don't know this, but I'm an Agent for Oliver's Labels.  If you don't know about this awesome label company, then you need to head on over to their website RIGHT NOW!!!!!  They have AmAzInG stuff...

I've been using their labels for a couple of years now, and I will NEVER stop using them.  Easy to order; easy to navigate through the site; fast shipping (within 2 weeks, in my experience); great variety of designs (NOT just for kids!); and a great variety of labels, too!  I usually get their school package and add on what I need, but this year I just ordered what I knew I would need for R.  PLUS some for K, and some mini bag tags for me and A.  As well as some wall decals for the girls.  Yeah, I spent a lot.  But I ordered more than I usually do.  Can't say that it was a mistake, either.  I ended up using most of the stuff already!

And the staff?  AWESOME AND FRIENDLY!!!!!  What more could you ask for?

So if you click on the link above, you'll be sent to my personal site - which is really their site, but I get the credit for the sale.  Believe me when I say you'll LOVE their stuff...

And that's it for today.  Hope I caught y'all up on things...
